Pretty Cuban Print

This sweet picture of my granny was mounted in a photo album from the time they were engaged, 1930s. Written in white ink in the most delicate and elegant handwriting the caption reads “de schoone Cubaansche” (in English “the pretty Cuban”). No surprise I love this image a lot. The Dutch landscape with the windmill, my granny -young and in love- looking up from her book, smiling. It’s all about the calmness and tenderness of this scene that I love.

This is a personal project with scenes from my family’s photos drawn on vintage art catalogue pages. Although it’s an art project with personal connotation, a lot of people can relate to the sweet and oftentimes funny scenes in those long-ago days.

Limited edition giclée print.

Printed on fine art archival paper (315 gsm soft textured natural white) with Epson archival inks. It has the appearance of slightly textured watercolor paper.
Each print is hand signed in the front by the artist. If you prefer it to be signed in the back, please let me know.

Size A4 (29,7 x 21 cm)

Border: Small white border around the image for easy framing

The print will be put in a cellophane sleeve inside a bend-proof cardboard envelope so that it reaches you in perfect condition.
