This portrait of a young couple was commissioned f This portrait of a young couple was commissioned for the 25th birthday of the young man depicted. The beloved but unfortunately deceased long-haired collie could not be missed and was given a place in the foreground.
I always enjoy making small and personal references to things that are important to clients. For this family Zeeland has played an important role for decades and I have incorporated a piece of a map of Schouwen Duiveland into the drawing. Such subtle details make these artworks fun and personal!

Bye lovely home for 52 years 💔 Dag huis, dag l Bye lovely home for 52 years 💔
Dag huis, dag lieve oude woning 💔
After the passing of my father last year and my mom moving to a nursing home in February we had to say goodbye to our house for 52 years. All our memories untouched and still there. Packing and sorting took us 6 months. Many many long trips to this home we loved so much. Last weekend we cleared the last things for the upcoming sale. An ending of an era for us.

After walking in the shade of the park, we bought After walking in the shade of the park, we bought some treats at the pet shop. Then with a detour, hair in the wind, we cycled through the beautiful landscape back home. Fender now goes along on the bike twice a day and he absolutely loves it! We now cycle to his favorite hiking spots without having to trudge through hot streets first. And our radius of action has also become much larger. Nothing but praise for this fine cargo bike and it’s endless possibilities, especially for senior dogs who still like to go somewhere!
I made the box as comfortable as possible for him with a custom made cushion. For the edges I used cardboard tubes with protective foam on top, which I still had lying around. When boarding, he now first puts his front legs on the edge, after which I give him a lift in the box. @fietsen_king @larryvsharry
Recently I designed new cards and used line drawin Recently I designed new cards and used line drawings of flowers I drew in my pink drawing book earlier. I figured I had to draw some more to make a more balanced and versatile composition (photo 2). The drawing in the first photo was this starting point for two of my card designs. I scanned the flower drawings and digitally cut them loose to be able to be more flexible with placing them in a new composition. I know it would have been much easier if I’d drawn them seperately in the first place (..).
In the last two photos you can see how the flowers from the drawing book are composed in a new setting. I didn't use this particular design in the end, but wanted to show the process and one of the results. In the end I placed them into two different card designs, which I will show in a different post.
